Our trip comes to an end...

On our last days in Vieques, we relaxed and enjoyed the beaches. But we also explored a little more and found some amazing sights! Our first discovery was the fort known as El Fortin Conde de Mirasol. You can read all about the history of the fort at the link, but the fort gave for lots of photo ops....




We also discovered some old bunkers.



And then we headed back home with a brief stop over in San Juan. Here is the view of the inside of the plane and some shots I took out the window to take my mind off of possibly falling out of the sky.

Day 8 of our Trip

Yes we were gone a long time, but there are lots of great photos to look at for the next few entries so stick around.

For day 8 of our trip, we attended the wedding rehearsal to map out the strategy for the wedding the next day. In addition, after the rehearsal was over, Pam and Ibo threw a beach party for all of their wedding guests. And after all, what good is it being on an island if you don't throw a beach party.

The beach party was at Sun Bay.


And had lots of food, sand, and surf to keep everyone busy.


The bride stays in the shade with a sun hat that was definitely needed.


Football, ocean style, was popular fun for the boys.



And as you looked around, you swore that you had stepped into paradise and just never wanted to leave.


Plus, the wild horses were great greeters at the gate and also made sure to say goodbye on your way out.
